Ontario Road Test work hard to provide a transparent and professional service to anyone looking to make a road test booking. With that in mind, we have set out these terms or services for your perusal. Please be aware that we reserve the right to make changes and updates to our terms of service at any time, and that you ought to check in here regularly throughout your contact with us just in case anything changes without you noticing.
The continued use of our website, services, or facilities depends upon your compliance with these terms, so please do read them carefully.
Security. Privacy and Data Protection
We will not gather data on you without your express consent and any data that we do keep will be for future custom and your benefit alone. We will not pass your information to anyone other that the designated Test Centres and the Ministry – which we need to do in order to book your test. Information will not be held any longer than it needs to be.
We use Secure Sockets Layer (or SSL) certification to ensure that every payment made to us is a safe transaction. Under no circumstances will your card or payment details be held by us without your express permission (for example, to pay your fee over a three-week period via Direct Debit). When you book any road test with Ontario Road Test your details will always be secure.
Booking a Test
Once you pay for your road test, you will receive a confirmation of your request as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to ensure you’ve provided the correct email address as this is the only method of communication we provide. If you have not received your road test booking confirmation after 3 days of making your payment, check your junk mail then please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org immediately with your Booking number. At times we may require you to check the information provided in order for us to book your road test – we will contact you via email in this instance.
In case we need clarification or further information, we will be contacting you through email and text message; if we do not receive a response from you within 60 days of being contacted by us, then your file will be closed, and no refund will be provided.
Once your order is submitted, we will start the process of booking a date for you. You will be notified of your road test booking details between 10 to 45 business days. If we are unable to find the date and time you requested at your preferred location(s) during this time, we will notify you of this, and provide you with a full refund of the booking service charges.
We only provide a booking service to book your road test as a third party. Please note, we do not accept any responsibility or liability for policies set by MTO, or the driving test centers, nor do we have any control over them.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Our booking service charges are $100, and will be charged for all road test bookings. This amount is separate from the road test booking fee which is charged by MTO ($91.25 for G road tests and $53.75 for G2 road tests). If you have not already paid your road test fee to MTO, you can include these amounts with our booking service charges when making your payment, and we can pay this fee on your behalf. If you have failed a road test, and are booking another one, you have to pay the booking fee again. Our booking service charges will have to be paid separately. However, if you had a vehicle problem due to which you were not able to give your road test, you will have to pay 50% of the road test booking fee to MTO. Our booking service charges will have to be paid separately.
We will provide a full refund of the $100 booking service charges for any cancellation requests made within 24 hours of submitting the road test requests. For cancellation requests made after 24 hours, we will charge a cancellation fee of $40. There will be no refunds for requests made after 48 hours of the booked road test appointments. Please note, once we pay the road test booking fee to MTO (91.25 for G road test and $53.75 for G2 road test), we cannot refund this part of the payment – you will have to contact MTO directly for this amount:
For cancellations before 24 hours of a road test booking, you have the option of using the amount paid to MTO anytime towards any future road test bookings, or you can request a refund if preferred (all requests to be made to MTO directly).
After requesting a road test booking, if a student books himself/herself and then asks for cancellation and refund, he/she will be charged a sum of $60 and the rest of the service charges will be refunded.
Please Note- Refund process takes around 10-20 business days after your request.
We can reschedule an apt for an extra $40 fee, if it is made at least 7 business days prior to the booked road test apt. The rescheduling fee of $40 can be paid through e-transfer to email@example.com. Once you send this amount, please send us a screenshot of the payment.
All information provided will be kept confidential. All your private information submitted will be deleted from our data storage once your road test has been booked
